We started because traditional accounting was broken

And we're still here because we fixed it for ourselves first

Founder story

The origin wasn't planned

In 2014, our founder was running a manufacturing business that nearly collapsed because the accounting firm missed a critical CRA deadline. The penalty was $14,000. The damage to cash flow was worse.

That's when she realized most accountants treat bookkeeping like data entry instead of business intelligence. So she sold the manufacturing company and built the accounting firm she wished she'd had.

DiscaDisco Books isn't about following standard procedures. It's about understanding what keeps you awake at night and making those problems disappear.

What we believe

Transparency beats jargon

We explain what we're doing in plain language. If you can't understand your own financials, we've failed.

Proactive over reactive

We don't wait for problems to appear. Monthly reviews catch issues before they become expensive.

Strategy over compliance

Anyone can file forms. We optimize your entire financial structure to support your actual goals.

The team behind your numbers

We're a cross-functional group of CPAs, certified bookkeepers, and former business owners. Everyone on the team has worked in industry before switching to practice.

That means we've lived through the same cash flow crunches, audit notices, and growth challenges you're facing. We're not theorists—we're practitioners who've been in your position.

Average team tenure is 6.5 years. We don't churn through junior staff. You work with people who know your business.
